Seattle Public Library Symposium

The Seattle Public Library has hosted a plethora of events this year celebrating the 150th anniversary of Edward Curtis' birth. This Symposium, a part of Beyond the Frame: To Be Native, was a variety of speakers on many different topics surrounding the Curtis legacy. We heard lectures on the importance and history of his work, a comparison of his work to other photographers in his era, art aspects and even a lecture about work he did in Hollywood in the 1920s. It was such an interesting day and we were proud to be a part of it.

A big bonus to the day was that we were asked by the library to do an exhibit of our project when we are ready... and we met two more descendants! We are feeling so very blessed.
